Depends on what you are looking for... : The House of Marley Stir it Up Over Ear Headphone - Freedom Collection - Three-Button Apple Mic (EM-FH013-HA)

I purchased these headphones from Amazon when they had it on a daily special for $50 off the regular price of $195. To be honest, I wouldn't have even considered buying them at the regular price but for a discount that large, I decided to give them a chance, partly because they were such a beautiful design. I've been looking for a headphone that I can use for long periods and give me good sound reproduction. I also wanted a set that could be used with a mic that would work with my iPhone. I can't really use button earphones - never fit well or fit SO well that it's like being on a biofeedback machine. I've not really found a good set with closed, over-ear phones and microphone that I would want to wear.

I've been wearing these headphones for about 8 hours off and on today. I do some music work (online DJ) and they are fine for monitoring that. They fit well and are quite comfortable. They don't block out all external sound but they don't claim to - no noise-killing circuitry. With music playing, only the loudest outside sounds are noticeable. Even with the music off, it cuts out most of it. The fit is very adjustable and when it is adjusted, it stays that way - you have to deliberately change the length and it clicks firmly into place. The cups rotate and fit the shape of your head and ears.

I decided to use them when I called my Mom this evening as we often talk for at least an hour once a week or so and I ended up talking for just over two hours. I had a fan blowing on me and had no problems hearing her and she had no problem hearing me - probably the best cell phone headphone/mic combination I've ever used. So I'm more than satisfied with that aspect.

As for the sound. It is very good. This is the first pair of headphones I've had that has sounded best on the "flat" EQ setting. It is very good at catching bass and percussion. Soft passages of music sound REALLY good - very clear and distinct. Instrumentals sound great. Two things I've noticed that are negative is that in some songs, the vocals seem reduced and further down in the mix; and, when there are a lot of things going on in the music - for example, some of the tunes like "Time" from Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" album - it seem a little "muddy" - a little over-driven and distorted.

I tried comparing them to a pair of Sennheiser HD448 headphones I recently purchased from Amazon. The vocals problem seemed better with those headphones but not dramatically. The muddiness of the "busy" passages were not much different than the Marley headphones and may be due to my source files. One thing I noticed comparing the two headphones was that the Sennheiser had a much lower volume and had to be "cranked up" to get the same playback sound. This was true whether I drove them directly or used the FiiO E5 headphone amp that I got for the Sennheiser's. Both sounded somewhat better with the amp though the Marley's were louder at lower volume.

So the bottom line, it depends on what you are looking for. If you want a visually striking set of headphones that perform well (but not outstanding) sonically, are comfortable, adjustable and work with most any sound source you have - including hands-free cell-phone use, these could be for you. If you are looking mainly for outstanding sound reproduction and noise canceling circuitry, these are not what you are looking for.

Four stars for very good but not great sound and the price - but if you can get them on special, it's a much better deal. I'm glad I got them and they are absolutely beautifully made of mostly natural materials.
